2026 class 4-star QB Luke Fahey to visit Alabama & Auburn before making his college commitment: REPORTS
Luke Fahey, a 4-star quarterback in the class of 2026, is preparing to visit two top college football programs – Ole Miss and Auburn – as he nears his decision.
Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, the Mission Viejo, California native has attracted offers from a host of prominent programs. These include Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Washington, California, Florida State, Maryland, SMU, Cincinnati and Oregon.
Fahey is currently ranked as the No. 4 quarterback in his class by 247Sports. He is expected to eclipse 20 total offers by the end of the season, with several schools, including Ole Miss, aggressively pursuing him early on.
Initially planning to attend the Juice Fest 24 in July, Fahey was unable to make it. But he has now rescheduled to visit Oxford this weekend for the season opener against Furman.
"I am excited about this visit because I want to find out more about Ole Miss," Fahey told On3.
"I watched them last year and I know they throw the ball around a lot, so I want to see what it is like there. Lane Kiffin has had great success with quarterbacks, I like his track record and I have been talking with coach Charlie Weis Jr., so I want to go check things out," he added.
In addition to Ole Miss, Fahey plans to visit Auburn for their game against California on September 7. Like Ole Miss, this will be his first trip to Auburn.
“I don’t know a lot about Auburn yet either. The great quarterback Cam Newton played there and I know they are an SEC program, but I still have a lot to learn about them too.”
Currently, Luke Fahey is ranked as the No. 15 quarterback in the nation and the No. 29 player in California's 2026 class by the 247Sports Composite.
2026 QB prospect Luke Fahey prioritizes right fit over early commitment
Luke Fahey is taking his time in deciding where he will play college football. He has been in regular contact with Auburn's TJ Randall and coach Jesse Stone.
His only other scheduled visit is a return to California for their matchup against Miami on October 19. Despite many quarterbacks in his class already committing, Fahey remains unhurried.
"I feel no pressure to make an early commitment," Fahey said. "The process is long. We still have our junior and senior seasons to play, and there will be flips, coaches leaving, and guys changing their minds. My plan is to wait it out and make the right decision."
Fahey is focused on finding a school that offers a strong sense of family and culture, alongside a coaching staff with a solid track record.
"I want to go where everyone wants to be there and play as a team. I don’t want to be in a selfish environment," he emphasized.
He threw for three touchdowns in Mission Viejo’s recent 34-7 victory over Santa Margarita.
Luke Fahey has had a sophomore season where he threw for 2,184 yards and 26 touchdowns across 16 games, as per 247Sports.
