2026 class five-star OT Jackson Cantwell confirms taking visit to Alabama vs Missouri game during this season

Five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell from Nixa High School in Missouri remains undecided on his college commitment. The 6-foot-7.5, 305-pound prospect has narrowed his choices to 14 schools, including Alabama, Nebraska, Miami, USC, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oregon, LSU, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Ole Miss.

Cantwell is set to visit Alabama on Oct. 26 for its game against Missouri. The Tigers and the Crimson Tide haven't faced each other since 2020. The Crimson Tide had lost key players to the NFL draft and faced changes in their coaching staff, but still boast promising players and are expected to continue the program's legacy.

In a post on X on Monday, Cantwell revealed his gameday visits, which included the Crimson Tide matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Cantwell visited Alabama during the school's “Cold Summer Cook-Out” event last month.

“I loved it,” Cantwell said (via Touchdown Alabama). “It was a really fun visit. I enjoyed getting to talk to coach Kapilovic (Alabama offensive line coach) and coach DeBoer too.”

Besides football, Cantwell is also a standout in track and field and basketball, and he was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Missouri Boys Track & Field Player of the Year. Alabama has a 10.0% chance of securing his commitment for the 2026 class.

Jackson Cantwell is set to visit Nebraska for its game against Colorado on Sept. 7. He has already been to Lincoln multiple times, including for gamedays, spring games and recruiting junior days.

In an interview with 247Sports, Cantwell shared his impressions of Cornhuskers offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.

"I've taken three trips there so far," Cantwell said. "I'd say Coach (Donovan) Raiola's coaching would be one thing I've gotten to learn about that I think is interesting but also a positive.

"I think Coach Raiola is a good dude to learn from. He teaches unique stuff on the offensive line. I can see that room starting to gradually get better and I think those guys like to learn under him."

Cantwell has other gameday visits lined up this season: Sep. 21 to Missouri for its game against Vanderbilt, Oct. 5 to Georgia for its matchup with Auburn and Nov. 9 to LSU for its clash with Alabama.

Missouri leads in the recruitment race with a 26.3% chance of landing Jackson Cantwell’s commitment, while Nebraska stands at 12%.
