2026 class three-star prospect Chad Fairchild to visit Georgia football's Week 2 showdown
Chad Fairchild, the three-star recruit from Lovejoy High School, will visit the Georgia Bulldogs' campus on Saturday for their Week 2 showdown against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. After receiving an invite from the program, the linebacker revealed his plan to visit Georgia on Twitter.
The 6-foot-1 defenseman from 2026 received interest from some of the top schools in the country. Fairchild has 15 offers from some of the best mid-major programs in the country, including Boston College, Duke, Tulane, Indiana, UAB, Pittsburgh, Troy, Wake Forest and Liberty.
The linebacker may receive additional offers from some of the best NCAA programs in the country in the future, and his visit to Georgia could help him land an offer from the Bulldogs. Georgia has already landed commitments from three athletes from the class of 2026.
Fairchild is ranked no. 571 nationally and is the 45th-best player at his position in the country, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is ranked No. 51 in the state of Georgia.
The 2026 three-star linebacker from Hampton, Georgia, also plays basketball for his Lovejoy High School team.
Chad Fairchild is a dual-sport athlete at Lovejoy High School
During his freshman year, Chad Fairchild tallied 23 solo tackles and assisted on 48 others, combining for 71 total tackles while also recording a couple of fumble recoveries. He also plays basketball for his high school, averaging 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds per game through 40 games so far.
Multiple teams are in contention to land the coveted three-star linebacker from Lovejoy High School.
As per On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are the favorites to land Chad Fairchild, with a 38.1% chance of success. NC State follows Georgia Tech with a 33.3% chance.
Although the Gamecocks only have a 15% chance of landing the linebacker, they still have the third-best odds according to the prediction model. Other teams in the race include UAB, Maryland, Boston College, UCF, Georgia Southern, Tulane, Liberty and Pittsburgh, among others.
