2027 class ATH Sequel Patterson confirms receiving offer from Mike Norvell's FSU

Florida State is facing challenges in the 2024 season, and looking ahead they have made an offer for Sequel Patterson in the 2027 class. Aside from struggles on the field, Norvell and his staff continue to push forward in recruiting.

One bright spot for the Seminoles during a tough stretch came with the visit of four-star athlete, Sequel Patterson. The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect attended Saturday’s game and received a scholarship offer from the program. Patterson shared the news on X:

"Blessed to receive an offer from Florida state university #GoNoles."

Four-star edge rusher KJ Green is another 2027 class prospect to receive an offer from the Seminoles following the game. Besides these two, the school extended a scholarship to four-star safety Xavier Lherisse for its 2026 class prior to the matchup.

Florida State has yet to earn commitment in its 2027 class. But the Seminoles offered scholarships to multiple four-star prospects, including:

• Quarterback Brady Edmunds
• Running back Ezavier Crowell
• Wide receiver Ethan Feaster
• Tight end Mark Bowman
• Offensive tackle Jake Hildebrand
• Edge rusher LaDamion Guyton
• Linebacker Kaden Henderson
• Cornerback Joshua Dobson

Florida State seems a far cry from the success of 2023 when the Seminoles won the ACC. After a promising off-season, Florida State suffered a surprising loss to Georgia Tech in Week 0, followed by a defeat to Boston College in Week 2. Mike Norvell's program's most recent setback came in a 20-12 loss to unranked Memphis on Saturday, now standing at 0-3 for the season.

Sequel Patterson's sophomore season performance so far

Sequel Patterson attends Indian Land High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through three games in the 2024 season, he recorded 109 rushing yards, 43 passing yards and 245 receiving yards, along with one passing touchdown and two receiving touchdowns. On defense, he recorded nine solo tackles, including three tackles for losses and a pass deflection.

Patterson is ranked by On3 as the No. 64 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 8 athlete in the 2027 class and the No. 2 recruit in South Carolina. 247 Sports places him as the nation's No. 13 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 3 athlete in the class and the No. 1 recruit in the state.

Sequel Patterson also excels in basketball. Besides Florida State, he earned offers from South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Georgia Tech, among others.
