4-star 2026 prospect Jalan Wingfield names Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, and South Carolina among his top colleges

Four-star 2026 prospect Jalan Wingfield has announced his top 10 college basketball programs. The list includes Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

According to On3's Joe Tipton on Tuesday, the 6-foot-7 power forward from Tri-Cities High School (Georgia) said his recruitment will still be open to other schools.

Jalan Wingfield currently has offers from 13 colleges, including LSU, California, Virginia Tech, USF and De Paul, alongside eight of the 10 schools he listed. So, although he identified South Carolina and Virginia Tech as among his preferred colleges, he has yet to receive any offers from them.

Jalan Wingfield, who is the son of NBA veteran Dontonio Wingfield, is ranked the No. 75 overall recruit in the nation, according to On3. He's been an important player for Tri-Cities, helping the Bulldogs to a 12-3 record while averaging 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

College programs with the highest chance of landing Jalan Wingfield

According to On3, Auburn has the highest chance at 39.8% of securing Jalan Wingfield's commitment. Next in line is Georgia Tech, with a 34.8% chance.

The player has already completed unofficial visits to these two colleges, alongside Cincinnati and Florida State. In an interview with On3's Jamie Shaw, Wingfield had this to say about Auburn:

"They got a great fanbase, I saw that immediately. You know, watching them play, they're a top team in the country right now and I think with how I play, I can fit in with them. I talk a lot with them over there. Coach Pearl just sent me a whole voice message this week. So yeah, we got a good relationship."

In that same interview, Wingfield also shared his thoughts on Cincinnati:

"Cincinnati is amazing, it feels like home over there. You know, my dad went there, so I'm familiar with the program. My relationship with Coach Chad is really good, I can't even lie. It just feels like home with him, like he's my uncle, you know. They got a big campus up there and all their facilities are nice."

About Florida State, he said:

"Everything was great about that visit. You know, it's close to my hometown so things might be falling into the right place with Florida State. I love Coach Hamilton, but got to see what the future holds. I loved everything about their place, the campus, facilities, the jerseys, everything."

As a Class of 2026 prospect, Wingfield still has plenty of time to make his decision. For now, he will be focused on helping the Tri-Cities Bulldogs as they face Decatur High School in their next game on Friday.
