Bixby, Oklahoma offensive tackle Broderick Shull has committed to the Auburn Tigers, making his decision after an official visit to the Plains last weekend. This is a huge win for Auburn's recruiting efforts, as the four-star athlete is one of the top 20 players in the country.

Besides Shull, Auburn football hosted several high-profile recruits over the weekend, including five-stars Caleb Cunningham and Na'eem Offord, as well as former Ohio State pledge Blake Woodby. Shull felt an immediate connection with the program and the community.

The offensive tackle's decision to join the Tigers came after a second visit to The Plains. The recent visit reinforced the positive impressions he had formed during his initial visit in March.

“I had the feeling. I got the feeling I was looking for in a college and immediately felt it at Auburn,” Shull said ( via On3). “I did pray about it for a bit. I feel that feeling is what God spoke to me about and that’s being an Auburn football player.”

Broderick Shull chose Auburn over other top programs, including Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Nebraska. When asked what stood out about Auburn, the young star pointed out the community and the off-field environment as the main reasons.

“I definitely would say their style outside of the football field. They’re obviously a good football program with factories and coaches. Seeing how the community and the players, seeing how they acted outside of football, I loved it."

Shull's commitment brings a composite rating of .9271, making him the top offensive commitment for Auburn thus far in the 2025 class. His commitment marks the 13th commitment for the program in this recruiting cycle and the second in just two days. Auburn's 2025 offensive line recruits also include four-star prospects Tavaris Dice and Carde Smith.

Broderick Shull's agricultural passsion also fueled his commitment to Auburn

Broderick Shull's commitment to Auburn was primarily initiated by Auburn's offensive line coach, Jake Thornton, who has seen incredible success with the 2025 class. But Shull’s decision was also significantly influenced by his love for agriculture.

Shull's family has a rich background in agriculture, specifically in honey production, and Shull has also carried this passion with him. During his visit to Auburn, the offensive tackle was particularly impressed by the university’s agricultural facilities and programs.

“Also seeing the agriculture and environmental science part of the school,” Shull said (via On3). “And seeing the honey bees there was amazing. The lab was amazing, the people there were amazing, it was all amazing. I had the best time.”

Broderick Shull was a starter at Kansas State and had been a crucial member in the 2003 Big 12 championship team. On3 ranked him as the No. 19 overall player in the class of 2025, the No. 5 offensive tackle, and the No. 1 player in Oklahoma. He is the No. 192 overall player and the No. 20 offensive tackle in the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite.
