4-star SG Courtland Muldrew commits to Danny Sprinkles' Washington Huskies

Courtland Muldrew, a four-star shooting guard from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, has committed to Danny Sprinkle's Washington Huskies, On3's Joe Tipton tweeted on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3 player chose Washington over other contenders, including LSU, Ole Miss, Creighton, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Arizona State, Missouri and West Virginia. He is ranked as the No. 104 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle by On3.

Muldrew spoke with On3 regarding his decision to choose the Huskies, saying that he trusted Sprinkle's vision.

“The message he sent is that he wants me to come in and be myself," Muldrew said. "He showed film of his past guards and showed the average minutes of his past top guards. He stated, 'My top guards are going to play 30-plus minutes a night,' and he wants that from me.”

He had a message for Washington fans.

“Coach is building something special here so let’s trust him and help him turn this thing around, GO HUSKIES we not done yet,” he said.

Courtland Muldrew visited Creighton, Oklahoma State and others before deciding on Washington

Just weeks before he committed to Washington, Courtland Muldrew was still being courted by other teams, and he visited Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Creighton.

When he was in Stillwater, Oklahoma State coach Steve Lutz laid out his plans for the four-star guard, with Muldrew explaining that the coach was "thorough" in his pitch and that he "talked about everything."

Creighton coach Greg McDermott visited Muldrew at Oak Hill Academy and watched him practice. The guard noted that the Creighton coach was impressed with his defense, though he added that he was only trying to "get after it in every area of the game."

Originally, Courtland Muldrew planned to make his decision in November, saying that he wanted to take his time after visiting the last school he was interested in and getting all the information he could. However, it did not take long to decide, as he settled for the Washington Huskies in the end.
