5-star Michigan signee Bryce Underwood shares the news of Alabama DL committing to Sherrone Moore's program
Michigan's five-star signee, Bryce Underwood, flipped his commitment from LSU to the Wolverines last month. The Wolverines also landed the commitment of defensive lineman Damon Payne on Wednesday.
Underwood shared the news of Payne's commitment on his Instagram story.
Underwood is the best overall recruit from the Class of 2025. This has seemingly helped Moore attract several top athletes. Payne will help strengthen Michigan's defense.
The 2021 four-star athlete chose the Crimson Tide over programs such as Ohio State, LSU, Georgia and Oregon.
Payne endured three tough seasons in Tuscaloosa and will expect more playing time with the Wolverines.
Payne was ranked No. 49 in the country and was the seventh-best defensive lineman in the Class of 2021, as per On3. He was also the second-best overall recruit in the state of Mississippi.

"Michigan was in my top three no matter where it was," the five-star quarterback said, as per On3. "Because, one, it’s hometown, the education. … Best football team in Michigan, and also the winningest team in the country."
He also shed light on his reasons for signing with the Wolverines.
"Honestly, school," Underwood said while talking about the thing he liked the most about the program. "School is a big thing with me. My education is everything. And also me pushing my hometown state, my hometown college to the next level, to win couple of national championships."
Underwood is the best overall prospect in the country from the Class of 2025 and was recently named the Gatorade Michigan Football Player of the Year.
