5 star recruit Chris Cenac to make LSU visit during Tigers' game against Alabama

Chris Cenac, a highly regarded five-star power forward recruit from Louisiana, is scheduled to visit LSU for an official visit on the weekend of November 9. This visit will coincide with the Tigers' highly anticipated football matchup against Alabama.

LSU is still seeking its first commitment for the 2025 recruiting class, and hosting Cenac presents a prime opportunity to make a strong impression. Ranked among the top 15 players nationally, Cenac currently attends Link Academy in Missouri after spending his junior year at Isidore Newman in Louisiana.

Chris Cenac previously made an unofficial visit to LSU last year and will now return for a more formal engagement. Cenac recently narrowed his list of top schools to twelve: Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas, and UConn.

On3's Joe Tipton praised Cenac’s athletic profile, noting his impressive physical attributes and shooting potential. Tipton described him as having "a great frame... with long arms and natural fluidity". He noted:

“Chris Cenac has a great frame. It is projectable with long arms and natural fluidity. Cenac has good touch with good hands. He is a threat to step out and knock down a shot with his feet set. He needs to continue working on his balance and feet on the shot."

Chris Cenac's official visit to LSU could shape his recruitment decision

As Chris Cenac gears up for his official visit to LSU, there is significant interest in how this visit might shape his recruitment choices. Speaking to On3's Jamie Shaw in July, Cenac shared his priorities:

“I’m looking for a school that will develop me the most and help me get to the next level. I’ll want to have a great relationship with the coaches, trust there. And I’ll want to be looking for an NBA-type system, spreading the floor, playing four or five out. I’m open to any school around the country really; location won’t matter.”

His first official visit took place in Houston on August 31. Cenac expressed a positive relationship with the LSU coaching staff, stating:

“My relationship is good with the staff. The whole staff reaches out pretty much all the time. They’re still building their program. I want to see this year what they do this year, with the team they have. They have great facilities down there. How up to date their facilities are stood out to me.”

During the 2023-24 season, Chris Cenac averaged 13.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 175 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks across 27 games (per Max Preps). His shooting efficiency is also notable, with a field goal percentage of 58%.
