In a small Ohio town, dreams are made of scarlet and gray, and for three-star prospect Bodpegn Miller, that dream came one step closer to reality when he received an offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes. The wide receiver hails from Mansfield, Ohio, and his journey to Columbus follows a standout performance in the Buckeyes camp.

Miller participated in the Buckeyes’ 7-on-7 tournament for the “house” team and won the majority of his one-on-one reps in competition drills. He had the urge to earn another chance to impress wide receiver coach Brian Hartline following his standout camp in early June.

Bodpegn Miller set a goal for himself to leave Columbus with an offer in hand, and he successfully earned it. The receiver revealed his excitement to Eleven Warriors on Tuesday and said:

“It definitely feels amazing. It’s been a dream of mine since I grew up an Ohio State fan. It’s just a dream come true. All glory to God. Ever since I picked up a football when I was eight years old, I’ve been wanting to get this.”

Bodpegn Miller's passion for Ohio State football runs deep, as he grew up a die-hard Buckeyes fan. His fondness for the program fuels his aspiration to wear the scarlet and gray jersey himself.

“It would be awesome. Like I said earlier, it would be a dream come true,” he said.

Despite having over two dozen offers on the table, including an upcoming visit to Boston College, the charm of Ryan Day-coached Ohio State remains unparalleled. He plans to revisit Columbus to further explore the possibility of joining the Buckeyes.

Brian Hartline impresses Bodpegn Miller with mentorship and insight

Bodpegn Miller camped at Ohio State in early June and amazed the coaching staff enough that they asked him back to camp again next week. His performance throughout the camps captivated Brian Hartline, who praised the receiver's caliber.

“(Hartline) said he loved my abilities,” Miller said. “Not only that but he said I have a good mindset, I can learn and pick up things. I played quarterback in high school, so this is a new thing for me. You could say he loved my ability to learn and adapt.”

Hartline also provided Miller with valuable advice and drills to aid his development.

“He gave me a few drills to help, but mostly he’s told me to stay calm because you’re not going to get it right away. It’s all about being repetitive and consistent and having motivation,” Miller said.

Last fall, Bodpegn Miller threw for 2,328 yards and 19 touchdowns with a 62% completion rate while rushing for 1,003 yards and 17 touchdowns on 132 carries. He also excelled in track, qualifying for the Division II state meet in the 200-meter dash and participating in Ontario’s 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams.
