Alabama 5-star WR commit Caleb Cunningham to take Auburn visit for Week 4 game against Arkansas: REPORTS
Alabama has a rich tradition of developing elite wide receivers, with NFL stars like Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Devonta Smith all emerging from the Crimson Tide program. The spotlight is now on five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, as he is seen as the next potential game-changing receiver for Kalen DeBoer.
Despite his commitment to Alabama, Cunningham continues to keep his options open. He has been making game-day visits to other schools, including a scheduled trip to Auburn for their matchup against Arkansas on Saturday, according to Jeffrey Ley, a senior recruiting editor at On3.
This will be Cunningham's first visit to Auburn since pledging his commitment to Alabama.
Cunningham is highly sought after, with offers from nearly every Power 5 program across the country. As Early Signing Day approaches in three months, schools like Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Auburn are actively pursuing him.
According to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine, Alabama holds a strong 73.6% chance of retaining Cunningham, while Mississippi State follows with a 16.8% chance. Ole Miss and Auburn remain in the mix with 1.8% and 2.5% chances, respectively.
For Auburn, landing Caleb Cunningham would be a big boost. Its 2025 recruiting class is ranked No. 5 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC, featuring standout prospects like Broderick Shull and Tavaris Dice. However, the Tigers are yet to secure a premier wide receiver, making Cunningham a top priority for the school.

In an interview with CJ Dew of Tide 100.9, Cunningham expressed his excitement about the experience, saying,
"Man, it was a good time for real. Its always a good time getting to see Coach Shep (WR Coach), Coach Deboer, and Eron (Hodges) who is the Associate Director of Player Personnel. Those are my guys and I talk to them like everyday".
Cunningham also revealed his strong connection with DeBoer.
"DeBoer doesn't just talk about football, we talk about life and how he sees me playing a factor at Alabama, the type of offense, my role, and how we can win a national championship."
Caleb Cunningham reaffirmed his commitment to Alabama, stating he is "100% committed" to the Crimson Tide. He plans to return to Tuscaloosa on Sept. 28, when the Crimson Tide will face Georgia.
