Five-star wide receiver and Alabama Crimson Tide commit Caleb Cunningham kicked off his senior season at Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, Mississippi, with high expectations. He has already hit the headlines, being named to the Clarion Ledger’s prestigious Dandy Dozen, which recognizes the top 12 players in Mississippi ahead of the 2024 season.

Cunningham is also reportedly visiting Tuscaloosa, including a game-day trip this weekend to watch the Crimson Tide take on USF at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This game-day visit was part of his plans, as he intends to visit Kalen DeBoer's program more frequently throughout the fall.

In their last meetup in 2023, Alabama won 17-3. In Week 1 action, the Crimson Tide enjoyed a massive 63-0 win against Western Kentucky. Meanwhile, USF is also fresh off a 48-3 win against Bethune-Cookman. Cunningham could get to see a fierce battle between these two powerhouse programs.

Speaking with Bama247 on Tuesday, Cunningham expressed his excitement about experiencing Alabama football in person:

"Really getting to see [Alabama] in action in-person," Cunningham said. "I am just ready to see what the receivers are going to do, watch some good football and watch Alabama get this win."

Cunningham is the No. 14 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 1 recruit in Mississippi, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Caleb Cunningham remains interested in Ole Miss

Despite ensuring that his commitment to Alabama is strong, Caleb Cunningham has continued showing interest in Ole Miss. He was in attendance at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as the Ole Miss Rebels opened their season with a dominant 76-0 victory over Furman on Saturday.

"I like how Ole Miss played," Cunningham told Inside the Rebels. "They played together. There wasn't anything selfish going on. About everybody on the field about scored. It was really fun to watch. They looked real good and I can't wait until I see them play an SEC school for sure. That's what I'm really waiting on."

The WR's admiration for Ole Miss extended beyond just their on-field performance:

"Ole Miss looks good, though," he added. "They played as a team and they've got a great coaching staff. It was a good atmosphere. I got to go to the student section and those guys were rocking. It was real cool and everything. That did a lot for me."

Caleb Cunningham is also reportedly being heavily pursued by Mississippi State and Auburn, but he has shown a particular affinity for Ole Miss so far. Notably, the Rebels have hosted him for more visits than any other program, including a visit during their big Juice Fest recruiting weekend at the end of July.
