Alabama five-star WR commit Caleb Cunningham to reportedly attend Ole Miss vs Furman Week 1 game
Caleb Cunningham, the five-star wide receiver from Ackerman, Mississippi, announced his commitment to Alabama on July 13 this year. However, there are rumblings about him flipping his commitment to the Ole Miss Rebels as he is set to attend the Mississippi-based team's season opener against the Furman Paladins, according to Chad Simmons.
This will be the wide receiver's second visit to the Rebels' campus after being offered in August 2022. Cunningham is one of the most sought-after athletes from the class of 2025, having received offers from Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, LSU, and Georgia.
According to On3, Ole Miss' 2025 class ranks 24th overall in the country. It has received 16 commitments and issued offers to 432 athletes for the 2025 class. Landing the five-star receiver would boost the Rebels' class rankings.
Cunningham is ranked No. 14 nationally and is the second-best wide receiver from the class of 2025, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Mississippi.
Caleb Cunningham announced his commitment to Alabama in July this year
The five-star recruit from the class of 2025 received multiple offers from some of the best schools in the country but decided to pledge his allegiance to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Cunningham received an offer from Kalen DeBoer's Alabama on March 25 last year. It took just a couple of visits to Tuscaloosa for Cunningham to sign for the Crimson Tide.
Caleb Cunningham has had a decent high school career so far. The five-star athlete from Choctaw County High School caught 48 passes for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. Cunningham is a dual-sport athlete, also playing basketball for his high school.
Alabama's class of 2025 is currently one of the best in the country. It is ranked No. 2, just behind Ohio State, and has landed 21 commitments for the 2025 class, as per On3.
Cunningham is a part of the Crimson Tide's 4 five-star recruits and is the team's second wide receiver commitment after three-star athlete Lotzeir Brooks.
