"Can't wait": 2026 prospect Brandon Arrington expresses excitement over upcoming Alabama visit
Four-star cornerback/wide receiver Brandon Arrington, from Mount Miguel High School out of Spring Valley, California, is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. He has already received offers from Georgia, USC, Tennessee and Alabama, among others.
After transferring to Mount Miguel from Helix High School, Arrington quickly proved his athleticism on both offense and defense last season. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound CB's stellar performance caught the eye of the Crimson Tide, who extended an offer to him on Feb. 29.
Brandon Arrington is set to visit Alabama on July 28, and his excitement for his first trip to the program can be seen in his social media post on Friday.
"Can’t wait to be in Tuscaloosa for the first time #rolltidebaby #blitzbama🐘 #blitz show some love," Arrington wrote on X.
Arrington has already developed a strong relationship with Alabama's co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach, JaMarcus Shephard.
“I already have a good relationship with most of the coaching staff,” Arrington told BamaOnLine. “I’m just looking forward to building the relationship more. Seeing what the college looks like and touring the school for the first time… I’m just really excited to go check it out.”
He also praised the Crimson Tide’s track record of developing top-tier talent.
“That basically tells you that’s the school you want to go if you play receiver,” Arrington told On3. “Or even DB. They also had Pat Surtain and all these great athletes. Bama is the place to be if you want to go to the league.”
Brandon Arrington's connection to Alabama runs deeper than football, as his grandfather is a native of Alabama and an avid Crimson Tide fan. The prospect earlier revealed his plans to take his grandfather to the program when he would go there for an official visit.
Before his visit to Alabama, Arrington has a packed schedule, with plans to visit Oklahoma on July 26 and Nebraska on July 27.
San Diego State trending for Brandon Arrington's commitment
San Diego State is now the frontrunner for Brandon Arrington's commitment. According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Aztecs have a 29.7% chance to secure his pledge, surpassing the USC Trojans, who previously led with a 26.0% chance. Arizona State and Arizona lag behind with 2.0% and 1.7% chances, respectively.
Last season, the prospect recorded 14 receptions for 426 yards and six touchdowns while also recording 18 solo tackles and seven pass deflections on defense.
Arrington has also made a name for himself on the track, as he claimed the 150-meter title and finished fourth in the 60-meter dash at the California Winter Outdoor Championships in his freshman season. He became the first San Diego section male athlete to sweep the 100 and 200 state crowns since Kenan Christon achieved the feat in 2019.
