Carmelo Anthony's ex-wife, La La Anthony, is no stranger to celebrating her son Kiyan Anthony’s achievements. Best known for her roles in "Power" and "The Chi," La La recently showcased a completely different side of her son and four-star prospect, Kiyan, to fans.

On Thursday, she posted a video clip on her Instagram story featuring Kiyan Anthony showing off his karaoke and freestyle skills during what appeared to be a house party.

La La captioned the story:

“Now @kiyananthony is free styling.”

The video featured Kiyan confidently singing and rapping to the delight of those around him.

La La and Kiyan both seem to enjoy doing karaoke. Last year, while on a summer vacation in Japan, La La posted a video on her Instagram handle showcasing a short karaoke session. In the video, the mother-son duo sang their hearts out over "Can You Stand The Rain" by New Edition.

La La Anthony topped off the post with a witty caption that perfectly captured the charm and hilarity of the moment, making it even more relatable and entertaining for her followers.

"He’s backkkk 😂😂 car karaokwith @kiyananthony, Tokyoyo edition….,” she wrote.

In the meantime, Kiyan Anthony is gunning for his collegiate career after pledging to his father, Carmelo Anthony's alma mater, Syracuse.

Kiyan Anthony Joins WME Sports, Sharing Spotlight with La La Anthony’s Partnership

Kiyan Anthony, the 17-year-old son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, made headlines when he signed with WME Sports on Nov. 5. The partnership ties Kiyan to the same company that collaborates with his mother, La La Anthony. The move highlights La La’s continued influence in shaping Kiyan's growing brand and career off the court.

But while his NIL potential is undeniable—with a current valuation of $1.1 million per On3 and partnerships with PSD Underwear and the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation—Kiyan is prioritizing basketball over branding.

In a Nov. 18 interview with Jayson Buford of Interview Magazine, Kiyan emphasized that improving his game is his primary goal:

“Yeah, for sure. Definitely. But that’s not the main goal. The main goal is just to go out there, play basketball, go hoop, and try to win.”

Kiyan, a 6-foot-5 guard ranked No. 34 by 247Sports, committed to Syracuse University on Nov. 15 after much speculation. His school, the Long Island Lutheran Crusaders, will be up against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute on Saturday. All eyes will be on Kiyan Anthony as fans anticipate another standout performance from the rising star.
