Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony asserts that his father is getting "too comfortable" post-retirement

Kiyan Anthony, son of the legendary NBA player Carmelo Anthony, appeared in a YouTube video by Overtime with his cousin and friends on Saturday. They played the viral TikTok game "What's in the Box?" and discussed the shoot for his brand One Way in New York.

The 6'5" shooting guard showed a recording of Steph Curry converting a deep shot for Team USA. He also talked about his father Carmelo Anthony and how he thought he would come out of retirement for the Olympics.

"I was going crazy prior to the Olympics I thought it was a chance that he might come back and play but now I think it's over he getting too comfortable like chilling, working," said Kiyan Anthony (11:14 - 11:22).

Kiyan also asked his father who, he would have replaced had he come out of retirement. Carmelo was humble in his reply.

"I wouldn't replace nobody. They deserve to be on that team, I'll come out and just be like a little honorary C, the 13th man on, you know what I mean, I'll come out with that but I'm too competitive," said Carmelo Anthony.

Kiyan Anthony decides his Top 3 colleges

Kiyan has yet to decide where he will start his collegiate career. Kiyan, rated four stars by ESPN, On3, Rivals and 247Sports, has narrowed his list to three. According to On3, the Syracuse Orange have the highest chance of recruiting the Middle Village, New York native with an 84.2% prediction.

"The coaches were on me the earliest, and they've been recruiting me since day one," Kiyan told 247 Sports. "They really believe in me. My guy Sadiq (White) is already going there, and they're trying to get a few more players for 2025. I feel like they're really building something there, and if I were to go there, I could be a part of that."

The other two colleges on his list are Auburn and USC. While the prediction percentage for Auburn is unknown, the Trojans have a 5.9% chance of recruiting Anthony.
