Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony reveals the first thing he would buy when he gets a big cheque
Kiyan Anthony is one of the widely known high school basketball prospects today, and he just dropped by WNBA star Angel Reese's "Unapologetically Angel" podcast. He opened up about his plans for the future and his relationship with his famous parents, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, and actress La La Anthony.
Anthony is on track to follow in his father's footsteps and turn pro after college. With this in mind, Reese asked the Long Island Lutheran guard what he would buy with his first big paycheck.
"For myself, probably a house, a car," he said. (13:46-13:48)
This led the Chicago Sky star to ask him if he likes flashy stuff, to which the four-star guard said he does not. However, he did admit he would buy one flashy thing.
"I'll buy a chain," he said. "I got a little chain right now, OK, that's it. I want, you know, a car. I need a car, though." (13:53-14:02)
Kiyan Anthony also told Reese that he already has a car and will be buying one because he likes cars.
The high school basketball star was asked if he would get anything for his mom, La La, and Kiyan said it would be a house.
Kiyan Anthony opens up to Angel Reece on how he chooses which college to go to
With Kiyan Anthony already in his senior year, he is about to make one of the most challenging decisions in his life, and that is choosing which college he will go to. His final three schools are Syracuse, USC and Auburn, and he opened up to Angel Reese what the deciding factor would ultimately be.
"Just like what coaches have been on me the latest and where I can go in right away and see growth, where I can develop my game and just try to win," he told the WNBA All-Star. "Whatever the coaches are telling me, where they can see my playing, what my role is, all of that goes into, like, you know, where I choose." (5:53-6:06)
The strongest contender to land Kiyan is still Syracuse, as it was his father's alma mater. However, Kiyan has previously said his father is not pushing him to pick the Orange and is letting him choose for himself.
