Three-star wide receiver Deion Thomas is gradually emerging as one of the most promising players in the 2026 class. The standout from Westlake High School (Georgia) has been gaining a lot of attention from college programs and will be making several visits moving forward, with his upcoming trip being set to Mike Norvell's Florida State this weekend.

On Monday, Thomas confirmed the news on X, tagging Norvell and FSU wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator Tim Harris Jr.

"I am excited to be visiting @FSUFootball this weekend for Junior Day. @CoachT_HarrisJR @Coach_Norvell."

Colleges have been impressed by Thomas’ blend of size, speed and leadership on the field. He concluded his junior season in 2024 with 505 receiving yards and five touchdowns across 10 games.

When discussing what he values in a potential college destination, Thomas told WVSports:

"Making me a better player and having a brotherhood on the team."

Thomas is the No. 68 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 51 prospect in Georgia, according to On3. As of now, Auburn holds the lead in his recruitment with a 39.8% chance of earning his commitment, as per On3.

Florida State actively recruiting offensive prospects in the 2026 class

Florida State holds six verbal commitments in its 2026 class, including four offensive players. The Seminoles this class ranks No. 8 in the nation, and the school's offensive line coach, Herb Hand, is actively working to enrich the cycle.

Hand was out in Arkansas this week to meet with four-star offensive tackle Evan Goodwin, the No. 3 recruit in the state. As of now, Florida State’s chances of landing Goodwin are slim, with less than a 1% likelihood, according to On3, while Ole Miss leads his recruitment at 29.2%.

The Seminoles are also pursuing four-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown, who was previously committed to Hand during his tenure at UCF. Brown is ranked as the No. 27 offensive tackle in the 2026 class, the No. 57 player in Georgia and the No. 418 prospect nationally, according to On3. The Seminoles are already the frontrunner in his recruitment with a 99.4% chance.
