Fran Brown's Syracuse offers scholarship to elite TE JT Geraci to the Class of 2027

Multiple 2027 class prospects are slowly getting recognized from top college programs and unranked tight end JT Geraci is one of them. This summer, he camped at Georgia while also making unofficial visits to other college programs.

On Saturday, Fran Brown's Syracuse entered the early race for Geraci's recruitment by offering him for the program's 2027 class. The prospect shared the news on X, tagging Brown and quarterback coach Nunzio Campanile:

"Blessed to receive an offer to Syracuse University! @FranBrownCuse @CoachNunz @CoAcHKeLZZz3 @libbieguy @TheJuiceOnline @McAllisterMike1 @RivalsFriedman @damehova9."

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Geraci comes from a family deeply rooted in athletics. His father attended the Army, and his older brothers have also made their mark in college football. Mike Geraci played at Michigan, while Alex Geraci currently plays tight end at Dartmouth.

If Geraci commits to Syracuse, he will join Melbourne Central Catholic wide receiver Tank White as the second commitment in Syracuse's 2027 class. He plays wide receiver, free safety as well as defensive back and gave his pledge in June. The prospect chose the school over USF, Boston College, Pittsburgh, UCF, Penn State and West Virginia.

Syracuse has been actively pursuing other tight ends in the 2027 class as well, offering prospects like Oakley Keegan, Connor Winn, and Sydney Padilla.

JT Geraci's recruitment update

Being a 2027 class prospect, JT Geraci is still early in the recruitment race, and his recruitment journey kicked off with an offer from Virginia Tech on Sept. 8. The offer came from Elijah Brooks, Virginia Tech’s area recruiter for New Jersey, during Geraci’s unofficial visit to the Hokies’ home opener against Marshall.

"This is my first offer," Geraci told VT Scoop. "They offered as a tight end. I'm excited about what Coach Pry is building and how they use the tight ends."

JT Geraci’s visit to Virginia Tech was even more special as it coincided with the Hokies honoring their 1999 national championship team. The roster included his family member, Tim Schnecker, who played center on that historic squad.

Within less than a week, Geraci received his second offer from Boston College, and the Syracuse offer came quickly as well.

GT Getaci was invited to Penn State's opener in 2023 while also visiting several top programs, including Princeton, Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, Rutgers, Michigan State and Monmouth. These programs are closely watching his sophomore season, and if his performance impresses, more offers are likely to follow.
