Georgia Bulldogs Recruiting: Top 100 4-star center commits to Mike White's program
Georgia Bulldogs fans can celebrate even before the 2024-25 season commences. Mike White’s team has finally landed another Class of 2025 commitment after almost a year, reeling in a four-star prospect.
IMG Academy's Kareem Stagg committed to Georgia on Tuesday. The 6-foot-8 center made an official visit to the school on Aug. 30, followed by an official visit to the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 4. After over a month, Stagg made his final call to commit to the Bulldogs.

Ranked as the No. 90 overall player by On3, Kareem Stagg committed to the Bulldogs on X, formerly Twitter.
“I want to thank my family for just being there for every step of the way,” Stagg wrote before thanking the coaches who recruited and coached him throughout his high school career.
Stagg also had offers from Oklahoma and Houston.
Stagg recently told college basketball insider Joe Tipton the things that he found impressive about White’s program. Stagg is impressed by the number of options Georgia has and how he could fit right into their system, he told Tipton.
The scouting report on Kareem Stagg is that he has improved his game on both ends of the court and that his physical presence and shooting make him a threat.
Stagg will join four-star Jacob Wilkins as the second recruit of Georgia's 2025 class. Despite just two commitments, the Bulldogs rank 13th in the country and fifth in the Southeastern Conference in team recruiting rankings.
The Bulldogs finished the last season with a 20-17 record but struggled with a 6-12 record in the SEC. Their exhibition games have been scheduled with the Charlotte 49ers on Oct. 19 and the UCF Knights on Oct. 23. The team will tip off its 2024-25 season against Tennessee Tech on Nov. 4.
For the upcoming season, the Bulldogs have added five-star Asa Newell and top-50 prospect Somto Cyril. Savo Drezgic and Jordyn Kee will also be a part of the squad. Along with doing a good job with high school talent, the Bulldogs also did well with the transfer portal.
