Georgia's 'brotherhood' impresses four-star WR Aaron Gregory on gameday visit
Four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, from Douglas County High School in Georgia, is one of the most emerging juniors in the nation. He has received nearly 50 offers from college programs, and Georgia stands out in his priority list.
Gregory attended the Bulldogs’ homecoming matchup against Auburn at Sanford Stadium on Saturday. The No. 5 Bulldogs secured a 31-13 victory, but it wasn’t just the on-field performance that caught the 6-foot-2,170-pound WR's attention.
“The brotherhood,” Gregory told On3. “A lot of previous players were back in town, professional and older players. I love how no matter how far you go, Athens is still home.”
This statement speaks to the strong culture coach Kirby Smart has built in Georgia, where former players stay connected to the program. During the game, the Bulldogs dominated both offensively and defensively. Quarterback Carson Beck went 23-for-29 passing for 240 yards with two touchdowns while running back Trevor Etienne rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.
The Bulldogs will continue their season next Saturday, hosting Mississippi State.
Can Georgia earn Aaron Gregory's commitment?
Aaron Gregory's equation with Georgia started from a 7-on-7 game when wide receiver coach James Coley pulled him aside to talk with him, and Kirby Smart was there as well. The Bulldogs coaching staff had been in constant communication with him ever since.
So far, Georgia is the leader in Gregory's recruitment. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the school a 20.5% chance of landing his commitment.
“I like how they are like, well, everybody thinks that Georgia is a run-run school," Gregory told Dawg Nation. "But they’ve gotten diverse as the years have gone on. Especially last year and this year. From the practices I have seen, they are definitely going to throw it [this year].”
Gregory earned MVP recognition at On3 and Rivals' camps and witnessed national attention. But Georgia had been pursuing him since last year when other college programs barely knew about him.
Besides this feeling of priority, the Bulldogs' continuous development of wide receivers also impressed him.
“Just the technique of the receivers has gotten way different,” Gregory said. “From coach Coley to BMac. BMac definitely did do a great job, but Coley has taken his work and elevated it a lot.”
Aaron Gregory is ranked by On3 Industry Rankings as the No. 30 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 4 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 5 recruit in Georgia. He is a multi-sport athlete and also participates in track and field events.
