"Good god" "Dude just pick a school": Fans react to 4-star safety Kendarius Reddick's latest commitment flip to USC

The world of college football recruiting has become unpredictable as the trend of high school prospects flipping their commitments is gradually increasing. Football fans once again saw this flipping trend on Monday when four-star safety Kendarius Reddick flipped his commitment from UCF to USC.

This marks Reddick’s third overall commitment and his second flip. The standout prospect from Thomas County Central in Georgia had previously committed to the Auburn Tigers as a junior before flipping to the Knights in February. Now, less than six months later, he has made the switch to the Trojans.

Many fans on X voiced their frustrations over Kendarius Reddick's ever-changing decisions.

"MOTHER*****R," a fan wrote.
"JFC @DeeReddick8 you flipping your commitments like a damn waffle house chef. Stick. With. One," another posted.
"Dude just pick a school," one comment read.

Let's look at some highlighted reactions to this discussion:

The days when a commitment meant a player was locked in are long gone, as with the prevalence of NIL deals and the transfer portal, players have more power and flexibility than ever before. This new era of recruiting has made it difficult for programs to feel secure in their commitments, and UCF's case is an example.

The Knights now have 19 commitments in their 2025 class, which ranks No. 27 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12.

"Best of luck to him! A loss for UCF," one wrote.
"UCF got a 4 star 3 time flip and thought they were slick 🤣🤣🤣," another fan posted.

247Sports ranks the 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect as the No. 173 overall prospect nationally, the No. 14 safety in the 2025 class and the No. 26 recruit in the state of Georgia. On3 places him as the No. 127 overall prospect, the No. 12 safety in the nation and the No. 19 recruit in the state.

During his sophomore season, Kendarius Reddick recorded 58 tackles and an interception. He followed that up with a stellar junior season, notching 63 tackles, four tackles for loss, four interceptions and two sacks.

USC's recruiting class update following Kendarius Reddick's commitment

Following his official visit to USC on June 21, the Trojans started to earn Kendarius Reddick's recruitment momentum. Recruiting insider Scott Schrader had predicted the flip back in June, and prior to Monday, USC had emerged as the leading contender in Reddick's recruitment before ultimately sealing the deal.

Reddick's addition brings USC's 2025 recruiting class to 17 commitments, with Reddick becoming the third defensive back to pledge to the Trojans, joining cornerbacks Shamar Arnoux and Trestin Castro. This class is headlined by top-tier prospects, including linebacker Jadon Perlotte, quarterback Julian Lewis and linebacker Matai Tagoa'i.

The 2025 class is currently ranked No. 16 nationally, and USC has been particularly successful in recruiting from Georgia, with Kendarius Reddick becoming the fourth prospect from Peach State to commit to the Trojans. He joins fellow Georgians, including Lewis, Perlotte and Arnoux, in the class.
