"His son going to have a better career than Bron’s son": Hoops fans react to resurfaced video of Carmelo Anthony teaching skills to son Kiyan Anthony
Carmelo Anthony is passing down the knowledge he gained as a basketball superstar to his son, Kiyan Anthony. On Wednesday, House of Highlights shared a resurfaced video on Instagram showing Anthony teaching his son how to execute a jab step.
The video garnered comments praising the former New York Knicks star for training his son.
"Love this video man," one said.
"Love this! Fundamentals are KEY!! Not over dribbling playing 1v1 when it’s 5 on 5," another fan added.
"Now he one of the best in his class," another said.
While many praised Melo for teaching his son at a very young age, some poked fun at LeBron James and his son, Bronny.
"Melo had a better rookie season than Bron and now his son going to have a better career than Bron’s son," one fan said.
"He gone be better than Bronny," wrote another.
However, a fan also called out those poking fun at LeBron and Bronny.
"I knew before i even clicked on the comments 90% of the comments would be about Bronny James 🤦🏾♂️😂😂. Is it really that hard to just give someone credit without all the extra ****?" one fan said.
Where will Kiyan Anthony go to college?
Kiyan Anthony is a four-star shooting guard from Long Island Lutheran High School in New York. He is one of the top players in the Class of 2025. Like many players in the class, the big question is where he will go to school next year.
While several schools have sent offers, Anthony has narrowed his list to three: Syracuse, Auburn and USC.
Carmelo Anthony played college basketball for the Syracuse Orange, and many experts predict he will go there. However, Kiyan said his father is not pushing him to choose his alma mater.
