" I think Michigan is still climbing uphill": Recruiting Insider comments on LSU QB commit Bryce Underwood's flip rumors to Michigan
Bryce Underwood has been part of the LSU Tigers' Class of 2025 since committing to the program in January, but rumors suggest that the Baton Rouge-based team might face a challenge, as Sherrone Moore's Michigan is rumored to be making a strong push to flip the quarterback.
Losing Underwood would be a huge blow to the Tigers' future, as the Wolverines have shown strong interest in securing the 6-foot-4 quarterback. According to On3's Steve Wiltfong, LSU is still expected to hold onto Underwood's commitment despite a push from Michigan.
"Talks between the Underwood camp and Michigan have intensified down the stretch of the process," Wiltfong said, as per SB Nation. "The Wolverines don’t have a quarterback committed in the 2025 cycle following the decommitment of On300 recruit Carter Smith. They’re hoping a final push with Underwood can change that."
"He loves LSU, the way they develop quarterbacks, the vibe around the program and school, his relationship with Joe Sloan and the staff, and the bond formed with the other commits. I think Michigan is still climbing uphill with Underwood."
