“I want to take as much information in as I can": Four-star QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele shares his goal for Oregon visit this weekend
A strong start to his senior season has seen four-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele reel in several offers, despite his commitment to the California Golden Bears. One of his most recent offers came from Dan Lanning's Oregon Ducks on Sept. 26, and now he is set to visit Eugene as the No. 1 Ducks host No. 20 Illinois on Saturday.
Ahead of his visit, Sagapolutele said that he could "feel the love from" the Ducks and expressed excitement about the opportunity with On3.
“I want to take as much information in as I can,” Sagapolutele said.
The Ducks already have promising quarterbacks in the pipeline, including Dante Moore and Akili Smith Jr., a 2025 class commit. However, with quarterback Dillon Gabriel likely moving to the NFL, Oregon may be seeking another standout option for future seasons.
Sagapolutele, who idolized the Ducks' QB1 as a youngster, has made a name for himself by breaking Gabriel’s Hawaii state record for all-purpose yards during his high school career.
Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein has made it clear he wants an additional quarterback commitment from the 2025 class, and Sagapolutele’s performance at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles this summer only boosted his chance.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele plays for James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. He has been committed to Cal since July 8 and is currently the lone blue-chipper in the cycle, which ranks No. 65 in the nation with 14 committed players.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has also scheduled visit to Georgia
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele will take an official visit to Georgia for its game against Tennessee on Nov. 16, per Chad Simmons of On3.
"Georgia is a great school that produces a lot of talent," Sagapolutele told On3.
Kirby Smart's program has secured a commitment from four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery for the 2025 class. However, the coaching staff appears eager to strengthen their quarterback depth by potentially adding another talented signal-caller like Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele to the cycle.
Georgia has 23 total commitments in the 2025 class, which ranks No. 7 in the nation. The school added a recent commitment from five-star pass rusher Elijah Griffin last week.
