Jaime Ffrench NIL Deal: Looking at Texas 5-star wide receiver commit's latest endorsement partnership
Jaime Ffrench, the five-star wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida is one of the best high school prospects from the class of 2025. The 6-foot-1 athlete received a lot of interest from some of the best CFB programs in the country but eventually decided to sign with the Texas Longhorns on Friday.
With his commitment out of the way, the receiver is now set to build his NIL brand after signing a deal with Rosenhaus Sports (RSR). With NFL clients such as Tyreek Hill, Aaron Jones and Chris Olave on the roster, RSR is one of the best agencies in the country.
RSR's founder, Drew Rosenhaus spoke about his belief in the NIL system and the opportunities it creates for high school athletes in the country (via On3):
"I believe in NIL. I think it’s great for everyone involved," Rosenhaus said. "But I do think that there needs to be structure, that all colleges in major conferences should operate with a salary cap like we have in professional sports. And I think structure would be great to give everybody a fair shot at being competitive."
Jaime Ffrench is ranked No. 18 nationally and is the third-best wide player at his position in the country, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the third-best overall prospect from the state of Florida.
Jaime Ffrench picks Texas over LSU and Miami
The five-star wideout from Mandarin High School announced his commitment to the Longhorns on Aug. 30. He chose the Steve Sarkisian-led side over other top contenders such as LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Florida State and Alabama.
The talented wide receiver had Texas as his top team since his first visit there in the Spring. Despite LSU and Miami's repeated attempts at signing Ffrench, his mind was set on Texas (via On3):
"There were a lot of challenges with LSU and Miami at different times, but since my first visit to Texas, they have been on top," he said. "LSU and Miami were in the way, but Texas just kept doing what they do and building on the relationships with me and my family."
Texas' class of 2025 is ranked No. 7 in the country, as per 247Sports. They have already landed 19 commitments so far, three of which are five-star prospects from the class of 2025. The Longhorns had a great recruiting summer and will look to acquire more talented athletes from the class.
