Julian Lewis stats: How did the 5-star USC commit QB perform on Friday night?
In a standout performance for Carrollton High School, USC-commit quarterback Julian Lewis showed why he’s among the nation’s top recruits. In a dominant 44-22 victory over Rome High School on Friday night, Lewis was the driving force behind his team’s success.
The five-star recruit, who recently moved up to the 2025 recruiting class after initially being in the class of 2026, delivered a spectacular display, throwing for 352 yards and five touchdowns, per MaxPreps. He also added a rushing touchdown. This remarkable effort elevated him to 12th place on Georgia’s all-time leaderboard for career passing touchdowns.
Since committing to USC last August, Lewis has remained steadfast in his decision, despite Colorado and Indiana's persistent efforts to sway him.
“As of right now, I’m still locked in with USC. That’s still where my home is,” Lewis told ESPN. “Taking visits is kind of a part of the process, I was going to go see what’s going on everywhere else, but I’m still USC right now.”
Carrollton (6-1) has done quite well, regaining its strength by winning the last six games after suffering a narrow 39-34 defeat against Langston Hughes in its opening game. With an average win margin of 39 points, the Trojans have had the best performance until now.
Julian Lewis has already thrown for 1,575 yards and 24 touchdowns in seven games this season. As a freshman, he passed for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns, leading his team to the 7A state championship game.
Julian Lewis keeps options open amid USC commitment
Julian Lewis, ranked as the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2025 class, is keeping his recruitment options open, despite his commitment to USC. The standout quarterback from Carrollton High School hinted at possible gameday visits this fall, saying:
“I’ll probably hit a couple games, I don’t know in specific, but I’ll probably go around a little bit.”
Lewis committed to USC largely due to his faith in Trojans coach Lincoln Riley.
“For me personally, when I committed it was for coach (Lincoln) Riley,” Lewis said. “I knew he was an offensive guru, that’s kind of been his thing is quarterbacks. Going out there to get developed by him is probably one of the best places you can be.”
While USC remains his top choice, Georgia has emerged as a strong contender. The On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine currently gives the Bulldogs a 24.5% chance to flip Julian Lewis, while USC holds a close second at 21.5%.
He started his freshman year by throwing for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns and leading Carrollton to a state championship game. In his sophomore year, he had 3,094 yards and 48 touchdowns, which got him the MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year award.
