Kyshawn Robinson injury: 2026 class prospect & four-star ATH shares update on his availability this season
Kyshawn Robinson, the 2026 four-star athlete from Westinghouse High School, is set to miss the entire 2024 season due to a hip injury. The 5-foot-9 athlete took to Twitter to make the announcement. The 2024 Pennsylvania high school football season will begin on Friday.
Westinghouse has been one of the best teams in the state throughout Robinson's time with them. They hold a record of 27-2 with the defensive back on the roster. Both their losses came against Southern Columbia in the state championship game.
Robinson opened up about his injury and revealed that he would need surgery to repair his damaged hip.
"Messed up my hip, IDK what’s exactly wrong yet but I do know I’ll be needing surgery," the 5-foot-9, Pennsylvania native told Nittany Sports Now.
Robinson is one of the most highly touted players in the class of 2026. The 5-foot-9 defenseman received offers from over 40 D-1 schools, including the likes of Penn State, West Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin.
Kyshawn Robinson is ranked No. 276 in the country and is the 21st-best athlete from the class of 2026, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the 8th-best overall prospect from the state of Pennsylvania.

The 2026 four-star athlete, Kyshawn Robinson, has received more than 40 D-1 offers from some of the best schools in the country.
These schools include the likes of Oklahoma, Temple, West Virginia, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Colorado, and Syracuse among others.
The four-star recruit has created his own list of the top 6 schools that have offered him so far. His home state team, the Penn State Nittany Lions, happens to be on top.
James Franklin and his coaching staff have done everything right so far in recruiting the coveted four-star recruit. Penn State became one of the first teams to extend an offer to Robinson in June last year.
The Nittany Lions' class of 2026 is ranked second in the country, only behind Auburn, as per 247Sports. They have landed 6 commitments so far and have extended 263 offers to some of the best high school athletes in the country.
