"LeBron, Steph, KD": 4-star prospect Kiyan Anthony names his Top 5 NBA players over 35
Kiyan Anthony, son of legendary NBA forward Carmelo Anthony, has been making waves in the high school circuit. He is regarded as a four-star recruit by On3, ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports, and ranks at the 36th spot in the 2025 ESPN 100 Recruiting Database.
In a YouTube video uploaded by famous basketball channel OVERTIME, Kiyan Anthony talked about the players from the NBA he would pick that are over 35 and 25 years of age, this is what he said (12:25 - 12:50):
"So for the over 35: Steph, Bron for sure, KD, James Harden over 35... Al Horford for sure."
For players under the age of 25, Anthony named Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards. He also gave his opinion on who would win if the over-35s played against under-25s:
"I think the over 35 will win just because of theexperience and they got Bron and got KD."
Team USA won the gold medal at the France Olympics 2024. The Big Three of Team USA featured LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.
Curry led the team in points averaging 14.8 points per game, followed by James who had 14.2 points, and then Kevin Durant who finished the tournament with 13.8 points per contest. While LeBron James led the team in both assists (8.5) and rebounds (6.8).
What's next for Kiyan Anthony?
The four-star recruit is inching closer to his final decision on his collegiate career. After shortlisting Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Syracuse and USC, he recently visited the Trojans and posted a picture on his Instagram.
Before the Trojans, Kiyan Anthony visited the Florida State Seminoles on Oct. 13 2023 and Syracuse Orange on Oct. 19, 2023. He is scheduled to visit the Rutgers Scarlet Knights next weekend on Oct. 5.
While Anthony received plenty of offers from Arizona State, Ohio State, Rutgers and USC in 2024, On3 listed out the colleges that have the highest chance of recruiting the 6'5" shooting guard. According to the list, Syracuse Orange has the highest prediction of recruiting Anthony with an 80.3% chance.
Second on the list is Rutgers with a 6.6% chance of recruiting the Middle Village, New York player. Third on the list is Florida State with a 5.6% prediction followed by USC which has a 4.7% chance. Which of these teams do you think we will see Kiyan Anthony in next season?
