Lincoln Riley's USC lands commitment from 4-star safety Kendarius Reddick to class of 2025
Four-star safety Kendarius Reddick from Thomas County Central in Georgia flipped his commitment from UCF to USC on Monday. This marks his second decommitment, as the blue-chip prospect earlier committed to Auburn in October as a junior, but later flipped his pledge from the program in February and committed to UCF.
Coach Lincoln Riley's USC extended an offer to Reddick in January and continued to pursue him aggressively, even while he was committed to UCF. Their efforts paid off when they secured an official visit from him on June 21. Despite visiting UCF earlier in the month on June 7, Reddick ultimately chose to head west to Los Angeles.
Reddick is the third defensive back to join the Trojans' 2025 class, alongside cornerbacks Shamar Arnoux and Trestin Castro. The program has been successful in recruiting top talent from Georgia, with Reddick being the fourth prospect from Peach State to commit to the program, joining quarterback Julian Lewis, linebacker Jadon Perlotte and Arnoux. The Trojans now have 17 commitments in the 2025 class, ranking No. 16 in the nation.
Meanwhile, UCF is now left with 19 commitments in their 2025 class, ranking No. 27 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big 12. The class still has blue-chip prospects like wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, running back Taevion Swint and offensive tackle Chastan Brown.
Kendarius Reddick's athletic profile
During his high school career, Kendarius Reddick has made huge contributions on both sides of the ball, excelling at free safety, strong safety, wide receiver and kick returner. 247 Sports' Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins praised him for his exceptional ability to track the football and make plays at the catch point, often getting airborne to disrupt passes.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect recorded 63 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and four interceptions during his junior season, while also recording 58 tackles and an interception as a sophomore. During his first three seasons of high school football, he recorded 157 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two sacks and five interceptions.
Kendarius Reddick is the No. 173 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 14 safety in the 2025 class and the No. 26 recruit in Georgia, per 247 Sports. Meanwhile, On3 ranks him as the No. 127 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 12 safety in the class and the No. 19 recruit in the state.
