“He’s a big family guy": Elite Michigan LB target raves about Sherrone Moore following key recruiting visit
Three-star linebacker Joshua Galbreath has been a key target for Michigan in the 2026 class. The prospect from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas, received a visit from Sherrone Moore on Jan. 9 and was left impressed by the Wolverines coach.
“He’s a big family guy," Galbreath said on Tuesday, via On3's EJ Holland. "That’s something I value. He also told me that he really wanted me."
Galbreath also posted a snap with Moore.
"Thanks you @Coach_SMoore for stopping by today!! @UMichFootball," Galbreath tweeted on Jan. 9.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound athlete possesses versatility, making him a potential fit as either an LB or wide receiver at the next level. In his junior season, he recorded 85 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
According to his X profile, Galbreath boasts a 4.4-second 40-yard dash, underscoring his speed. He is ranked as the No. 41 linebacker in the 2026 class, the No. 484 prospect in the nation and the No. 8 recruit in Kansas, per On3.
Kansas is leading Galbreath's recruitment with a 92.1% chance of securing his commitment, followed by Nebraska at 4.9% and Kansas State at 2.8%, according to On3. Michigan isn't considered his likely destination but the momentum may shift any time given the school's strong push.
