"Michigan is one of the biggest schools I’ve ever visited": Four-star LB Jordan Campbell has impressive comments for Sherrone Moore's powerhouse

Four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell has been committed to Miami's 2026 class since last November. He made an unofficial visit to Michigan last month and his impressions of coach Sherrone Moore's program were overwhelmingly positive.

“Michigan is one of the biggest schools I’ve ever visited,” Campbell told On3. “They have one of the best facilities I’ve ever seen. They had some of the best hospitality out of all the visits I’ve been on. It’s a nice spot.”

During his visit, Jordan Campbell had the opportunity to meet with the Wolverines' new linebackers coach, Brian Jean-Mary, who extended an offer to the 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker. Jean-Mary discussed potential scheme fits and how Campbell could contribute to the program's defense.

The visit was also complemented by Campbell’s familial ties to the Wolverines, as his uncle, a Michigan alum, resides nearby and has been encouraging him to consider the school.

Campbell also shared his impressions of Michigan’s performance over the past season.

“The most impressive part to me was when their head coach (Jim Harbaugh) wasn’t even there, and they were still able to win," Campbell said. "I had them as the natty favorite once they did that. To see the defense shut down Nick Saban’s offense, Jalen Milroe and all those weapons, that speaks volumes. That’s probably why they are getting so many recruits.”

Jordan Campbell is ranked as the No. 4 linebacker in the 2026 class, the No. 65 overall recruit nationally and the No. 14 prospect in Florida, per On3. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 8 linebacker, the No. 101 overall recruit nationally and the No. 17 prospect in Florida.

Jordan Campbell reaffirms his commitment to Miami

Campbell has maintained open communication with a few schools, but Nebraska has been particularly aggressive in trying to sway him. Michigan has also made a compelling case, but his loyalty to the Hurricanes has not wavered.

“I’m definitely open-minded to all schools, but I love Miami,” Campbell told On3. “I’m committed there, and those are my guys… I have dumb love for Miami.”

The Hurricanes coaching staff appears unconcerned about Campbell's willingness to explore other opportunities. Instead, they have encouraged him to ensure that he makes the best decision for his future. This supportive approach has only solidified Campbell's connection to the program, which he thinks of as his home.

“It’s home, baby," Campbell said. "It’s the Hurricanes, and they have a rich history and a ton of legendary players coming out of that program.”

Jordan Campbell has also received offers from Florida State, Auburn, South Carolina, FIU, Louisville, Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia Southern, Maryland and Indiana.
