NCAA sign gate situation is a "concern" for 4-star TE commit Andrew Olesh per CFB insider

Andrew Olesh, a four-star recruit from Center Valley, Pennsylvania, announced his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines on July 8, 2024. According to TJ Ronin of the MichiganVOCFB YouTube Channel, Olesh and his family "want" him to be in Michigan, but one major concern has the Olesh family worried about Sherrone Moore's program.

Michigan was involved in a sign-stealing controversy last season. The investigation regarding the matter is still ongoing and that can allow many potential Michigan recruits to change their decision, including the 6-foot-5 tight end from Southern Lehigh High School.

"Quite honestly, here’s the reality of the situation. [Olesh] wants to be in Michigan. His mom wants to be in Michigan," Ronin said in the latest episode of MichiganVOCFB.
"The concern for Olesh is simply [that] they have a concern for the potential ruling on the NCAA sign-gate situation. We will have the answer to that in November."

Other programs such as Penn State, Alabama, Florida and Auburn are all in the race to flip Olesh's commitment and the Wolverines will have to pull every stop possible for him to stay in Ann Arbor.

Michigan commit Andrew Olesh took a visit to Oregon last weekend

Andrew Olesh paid a visit to the Oregon Ducks' campus on Saturday before their game against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Despite his commitment to the Wolverines, the four-star recruit from Pennsylvania continues to explore schools.

Olesh has already visited Alabama, Penn State and Florida and is scheduled to visit Notre Dame on November 9. Olesh's commitment to the Wolverines is still in limbo as the program is still under investigation for stealing signs last season.

Olesh is ranked No.71 in the country and is the third-best tight end in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the second-best overall prospect from his home state.

Michigan's Class of 2025 is ranked No. 14 overall in the country, as per 247Sports. They have landed one five-star prospect, Andrew Babalola from Blue Valley Northwest High School in Kansas.

Apart from Andrew Olesh, the Wolverines have also landed seven other four-star recruits from all over the country and will hope to hang on to them as tightly as possible.
