Oregon WR commit Dakorien Moore reacts to 5-star LSU QB commit Bryce Underwood's post on IG
LSU’s top quarterback commit, Bryce Underwood, shared highlights of his senior night at Belleville High School, accompanied by family and supporters. In the post, he showcased key moments from his games with Belleville.
Among those who reacted was Oregon wide receiver commit Dakorien Moore, who commented on the post, referring to Underwood as
"Twin Ben."
Underwood and Moore, both highly ranked in the 2025 class, have crossed paths often throughout their recruitment journeys. Moore, originally committed to LSU, eventually flipped his decision to join Oregon, while Underwood’s commitment to LSU remains solid.
Underwood chose LSU over top programs like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Michigan. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, Underwood hails from Belleville, Michigan.
"They offered me as a sophomore, have been recruiting me since then and the program history," Underwood told ESPN in January. "They have great program history, great quarterback history, as well."
During his junior season at Belleville High, Underwood threw for 3,165 yards and recorded 40 touchdowns, with only two interceptions. He added another 160 yards on the ground and seven rushing touchdowns.
Bryce Underwood's ultimate goal is NFL development, a key factor in his decision to commit to LSU.
"The development for me as a quarterback to prepare myself for the NFL is what mattered for me," Underwood said. "Also, having a relatable offense that I'm getting into is a big thing as well."
Bryce Underwood shuts down rumors of Michigan flip amid NIL buzz
Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite rankings, remains firmly committed to LSU.
The Belleville, Michigan native pledged to LSU in January, and despite recent rumors, he has dismissed any talk of flipping to Michigan. These rumors surfaced after The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb hinted at potential "fireworks" on the message boards, but Underwood was quick to laugh off the speculation.
Fueling the rumors was a statement by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who made headlines by pledging around $3 million in NIL money to attract a top quarterback to the University of Michigan. Fans quickly speculated that Portnoy’s offer could be aimed at flipping Underwood.
Meanwhile, Michigan football has been trending positively in their recruitment of five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola.
