Photo: Alabama TE signee Marshall Pritchett receives career tips from Rob Gronkowski in epic FaceTime moment
Four-star prospect Marshall Pritchett is one of the best tight ends nationally in the 2025 class. The Alabama signee had a memorable moment on Thursday, as he got to FaceTime with Rob Gronkowski, who is regarded as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.
Pritchett shared his excitement on X, posting a screenshot of the call.
"Got a chance to speak with the greatest to ever do it at my position! Got sum great advice, excited to continue getting back to 100% and having a great spring! #Rolltide," Pritchett wrote.
Gronkowski's college career at Arizona was brief but prolific, where he set school records for his position with 1,197 receiving yards and an 18.8 yards-per-reception average in just two seasons. However, in the NFL, Gronk is undoubtedly the winningest tight end the game has ever seen, recording 521 receptions, 7,861 receiving yards and 79 receiving touchdowns.
Marshall Pritchett will aim to carve his own path while drawing on advice from Gronk. Alabama has long been a breeding ground for NFL-caliber talent, and Pritchett’s commitment to the Crimson Tide places him in an elite program that knows how to develop tight ends.
The Crimson Tide’s 2025 class also features five-star quarterback Keelon Russell. Much like how Gronkowski complemented Tom Brady during his NFL career, the Pritchett-Russell connection could become a mighty duo for Alabama.
What does Marshall Pritchett bring to Alabama?
Marshall Pritchett is on the mend after breaking his clavicle during the Under Armour All-America Game. However, it comes after his incredible senior season at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (Georgia).
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound tight end competed against six top 100-ranked opponents while leading his school to a state championship. His accolades include being named first-team All-State, Conference Player of the Year and securing 56 receptions for 844 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Reflecting on his journey, Pritchett shared his determination with ABC News:
"I played quarterback, safety and wide receiver at Porter-Gaud. I'm somebody who works hard, excited to get the opportunity to climb back up and earn my stripes."
Marshall Pritchett is the No. 21 tight end in the 2025 class, the No. 43 recruit in Georgia and the No. 332 prospect in the nation, according to On3.
