Cayden Boozer's signing the letter of intent concludes what has been a long and eventful recruiting process for him and his brother Cameron. Cayden received six college offers according to 247Sports, which came from Duke, Florida, North Carolina, Miami, Kentucky, and Arkansas.

Tracing Cayden Boozer's recruiting journey

Cayden Boozer is the No. 4 point guard of the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He's also the No. 22 overall player nationally. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, he's ranked the No. 4 overall basketball talent in Florida in the 2025 class.

He and Cameron Boozer announced their commitment to the Blue Devils in October. The brothers are now set to enroll in the same university their father, Carlos Boozer, attended and played college basketball.

Carlos played for Duke from 1999 to 2002, winning the NCAA Tournament with the Blue Devils in 2001. He was the ACC Tournament MVP as well as a First-team All-ACC in 2002.

Cayden and Cameron are also proven winners at their level, winning three straight state championships in Florida with Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. They've also won three consecutive Nike EYB championships in the E15, E16, and EYBL divisions. They have found success at the national team level as well, winning the FIBA Americas U16 Championship gold medal.

Cayden and Cameron Boozer will now concentrate on their senior season at Columbus, hoping to make a final impact before going on to Duke. When they enroll at Duke, they will be joining a program that has been consistently impressive over the years and reached the Elite Eight last season.

Coach Jon Scheyer, just in his third season, has been able to build on Mike Krzyzewski's success while also imprinting his identity on the program. The Boozer brothers are an advancement of Scheyer’s efforts to create a Duke basketball program that will bear his imprint.

The Blue Devils are 2-1 this season after recording their first loss against Kentucky on Wednesday. They face Wolford on Saturday and will be hoping to get back on winning ways.
