Photo: Late NFL legend's son and Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. shares a sneak peek from his visit to Oregon
Chris Henry Jr., a five-star Ohio State commit, was in Oregon for his latest visit. He attended the Ducks' 39-18 win against Maryland on Saturday. The Ducks have had a terrific season and that has attracted multiple top recruits from all across the country.
The 6-5 receiver shared a snippet of his visit to Oregon on his Instagram story. This was the California native's second visit to Oregon, with his first visit being an unofficial one in April.
Chris Henry Jr. suffered a knee injury in September. However, the 2026 receiver is still one of the best high school prospects in the country and is being courted by some of the top programs in the country, despite his commitment to the Buckeyes.
Henry Jr. is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, Chris Henry, who played in the NFL from 2005 to 2009 and tragically lost his life in December 2009 after falling out of the back of a moving truck.
The Mater Dei receiver is ranked No.3 nationally and is the best player at his position in the Class of 2026, as per 247Sports. Other programs that have extended an offer to the five-star receiver were Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and LSU.
Chris Henry Jr. reveals Oregon's pitch to flip his commitment from Ohio State
The five-star prospect from Santa Ana, California, Chris Henry Jr., was in Oregon to watch the Ducks' latest game against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday. Dan Lanning and co. have been trying their best to flip the 2026 prospect and talked to Henry about the program's desire to sign him.
"I talk to coach Adams and coach Lanning all the time," Henry said, as per On3. "I still have a great relationship with them. They let me know every time that they want me to come there. It’s a lot of love there."
Henry transferred to Mater Dei in February this year after attending Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. While he is recovering from injury, he's still visiting programs.
Oregon's Class of 2026 is currently ranked as the second-best class in the country, only behind Texas A&M, as per 247Sports. The Ducks have landed seven commitments from the class and have extended offers to a total of 208 athletes in the country.
They will look to strengthen their class further by flipping the star wide receiver.
