REPORTS: Carlos Boozer's sons Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer close on a commitment date

The Boozer twins, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, are closing in on a decision date on where they will go to college. However, the date is not the original announcement date that had previously been planned.

The brothers, who are the sons of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, have set their new announcement date as Friday, which is a day after the day they originally planned their announcement, Thursday. Several factors, including Hurricane Milton, caused the delay.

National recruiting insider Adam Zagoria reported that they will not do any news conferences or live interviews when they reveal their school. Instead, the twins will make the announcement on social media.

The twins are choosing between two schools: the University of Miami, their hometown pick, and Duke, Carlos Boozer's alma mater. The former NBA star helped the Blue Devils win a national title in 2001.

Both Cameron and Cayden Boozer are highly sought-after recruits in the Class of 2025. According to ESPN, Cameron, a power forward, is ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit, while Cayden, a point guard, is ranked at No. 17.

Father Carlos Boozer's Duke or hometown Miami? Where will the Boozer twins go?

The two schools each have strong cases on why they should be the Boozer twins' pick, with Miami being near their house and the brothers being familiar with Hurricanes coach Jim Larranaga. They attend Christopher Columbus High School in Westchester, Florida.

“Miami’s like 15 minutes from my house, so I’ve been able to see them play since I was a really young kid," Cayden Boozer said in an interview with Yahoo! Sports. "I used to go to Coach Larranaga’s camp, so I know the coaching staff very well.
"Coach L still has some photos of us at the camp. That’s something they’re definitely pushing, to be the hometown kid,"

Despite their history with Miami, the brothers have also visited Duke, which Cayden described as having a "great atmosphere." At Duke, there is their father's legacy, and the Blue Devils staff has been active in recruiting them.

Cameron has also received offers from Michigan, Arkansas, North Carolina, Florida State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, FIU, Memphis, Kansas and Texas. Meanwhile, Cayden Boozer also received offers from North Carolina, Florida State, Florida, Arkansas and Kentucky.
