Ryan Day's Ohio State offers 2025 class recruit & four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles
Four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles, from Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, is a highly touted prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. He has already received dozens of offers from renowned programs, including Michigan, Texas A&M, Utah, BYU, Iowa State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and UCLA, among others.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day and his staff joined the competition for the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Myles on Wednesday. The wide receiver shared the exciting news on his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), writing:
"BLESSED to receive an offer from @OhioStateFB #blessed @KjarEric @bcavi68 @CODY_GARDNER @AJTownsend13 @BrandonHuffman @BlairAngulo @CoachJordan82 @CCHSFOOTBALL_."
The Buckeyes' 2025 class already includes three wide receiver commits: four-star receivers Quincy Porter and De'zie Jones, along with three-star receiver Bodpegn Miller. But the program seems to be interested in locking Jerome Myles as well to build a formidable squad.
Myles has been recognized as a top-tier talent, earning the designation of "future freak" by On3's Charles Power. The analyst even noted that Myles might possess the "best size and speed combination" in the 2025 recruiting class.
Despite suffering a setback in 2023 due to a broken ankle, Myles recorded 19 receptions for 486 yards and six touchdowns before his injury. He made a magnificent return for Corner Canyon's state championship game, securing five catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns, contributing to his team's 41-27 victory.
Beyond football, Jerome Myles shattered a 43-year-old state record in the 100 meters with a wind-legal time of 10.36 seconds this spring.
Which program is leading the race for Jerome Myles' commitment?
After committing to Ole Miss in late April, Jerome Myles made headlines again by decommitting from the Rebels just two months later in June. Now, all eyes are on which program will secure his talents, and the Utah Utes are emerging as the frontrunners.
Last year, Utah picked up three Crystal Ball predictions for Myles. Although the program couldn’t secure the prospect's commitment at that time, it now holds a commanding 90.1% chance to earn his pledge, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
A key factor in Utah's favor is its successful recruitment pitch during Myles' official visit last month.
“It was a very good visit," Myles told Athlon Sports. "They answered the only question I had so it was pretty successful.”
Myles also has a personal tie with one of Utah's top signees in the 2024 class, four-star quarterback Isaac Wilson. The two played together in high school, which could be crucial in his upcoming decision-making process.
Jerome Myles is the No. 18 wide receiver in the 2025 class, the No. 142 overall recruit nationally and the No. 1 prospect in Utah, per On3. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 5 wide receiver, the No. 30 overall recruit nationally and the No. 1 prospect in the state.
