Sherrone Moore continues electric recruiting run as Michigan lands commitment from 4-star WR Andrew Marsh
The Michigan Wolverines made a significant addition to their 2025 recruiting class with the verbal commitment of Andrew Marsh, a highly touted four-star wide receiver from Katy Jordan High School in Fulshear, Texas.
The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect is rated as the No. 12 wide receiver and No. 87 overall player by On3. He chose Michigan over top programs such as Colorado, Texas, Washington and USC. Washington, in particular, put up a strong fight to the end, but Michigan and coach Sherrone Moore's persistence paid off.
Marsh’s recruitment journey is a subject that took him to Ann Arbor six times, some of which included stops he made during spring practices. There were also two trips in June and the Barbecue at the Big House in July. Ron Bellamy, who is Michigan’s wide receivers coach, steered the recruiting campaign.
“Michigan just feels like home,” Marsh said, emphasizing his comfort with the coaching staff. “I’ve stayed in close contact with them, and it’s a place where I believe I can develop and reach the next level.”
Reflecting on his official visit in late June, Marsh noted:
“This trip allowed me to spend more time with the coaching staff, current players, and fellow recruits. My relationship with them deepens every time I visit. Coach Bellamy is someone I trust, and I also had a great connection with Carter Smith, the 2025 committed quarterback.”
Andrew Marsh is the 17th commit in Michigan’s 2025 class, which has now moved from 14th to 12th in the national rankings. His decision marks him as the highest-rated offensive recruit in this class.
This move brings Michigan closer to cracking the top 10 in recruiting rankings, as Marsh joins a strong group that includes top prospects like Ivan Taylor, a four-star cornerback who recently flipped from Notre Dame.

Andrew Marsh of Michigan ranks as the No. 8 wide receiver nationally and the 52nd-best overall in the Class of 2025 by the 247Sports composite rankings. His commitment to Michigan is the highest-ranked wide receiver to date, following the one of Donovan Peoples-Jones, who was the best receiver in 2017.
Marsh, who attracted more than 35 Division I offers, chose Michigan over powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, USC and Texas. His explosive playmaking ability, combined with a lean yet strong frame, has drawn significant praise.
“Marsh is an explosive, productive receiver with impressive athleticism,” noted 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks. "Unorthodox in gait and playstyle, but fights through tackles. High-major receiver prospect who could develop into an impact player with legitimate long-term NFL draft upside.”
In his junior season, Marsh caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays. He also demonstrated his athleticism as a freshman by running 400 meters in 50.24 seconds. Marsh is the second wide receiver commit in Michigan’s 2025 class, joining four-star prospect Jacob Washington from New Orleans.
