"They really set the bar high on OV": 5-star Michael Terry III names Matt Rhule's Nebraska as top pick amid recruiting visits
Michael Terry III is visiting multiple schools, one of which is Nebraska. The Huskers are touted as one of the favorites to land the five-star recruit from San Antonio Alamo Heights after a very positive official visit.
Nebraska's head coach, Matt Rhule, made a splash last year when they signed five-star recruit Dylan Raiola. He is looking to do the same with Terry this season, and the school's efforts are paying off as the nation's No. 1 recruit had nothing but good things to say about the program.
"They were calling me a lot, almost every day," Terry said on Tuesday (via On3). "Just trying to get me up there, and they really set the bar high on the OV. They really showed me that they really want me up there."
The wide receiver also talked about his visit during Nebraska's spring game.
"It was crazy," Terry added. "I did not expect that many people to go out to the spring game, so that was a pretty crazy experience."
Terry is scheduled to visit Texas, Texas A&M and Oregon. As per On3, Nebraska is giving him the home feeling that he is looking for.
"Definitely Nebraska has given me that feeling so far," Terry said. "It was a great weekend, and my family and I had a great time. We got to see a lot of stuff around the campus, it was a good one."
Michael Terry III will officially visit Texas next month
Michael Terry III is a top target for multiple schools, including the likes of Oregon and Texas A&M.
Another school that has circled him for an official visit is the Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns have yet to land a wide receiver, and acquiring Terry would solve a lot of their problems.
Terry will visit the Longhorns campus on June 7. He has another visit scheduled on June 13 with Texas A&M. The five-star recruit visited Nebraska in April.
As per 247Sports, Michael Terry III is the nation's No.1 athlete. The 6-foot-2 combo player rushed for 995 yards and 20 scores last season while also scoring 10 receiving touchdowns. He also recorded a pick-6 on defense.
