Three-Star DE Dycin Davis confirms visit to Texas A&M vs McNeese Week 2 game
Texas A&M's 2026 class is already rich with the commitments of cornerback Ryan Gilbert and safety Markel Ford. The class also remains hot to potentially secure the pledge of three-star prospect Dycin Davis from Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas.
Dycin will be taking a game-day visit on Saturday when Mike Elko's Texas A&M will face McNeese at the iconic Kyle Field in Texas. The defensive end shared the news on X, tagging Elko, defensive line coach Sean Spencer, and assistant director of player personnel Shaun Cook:
"I will be at @AggieFootball Football Game tomorrow. Thank you @SpenceChaos, @ShaunCookFB and @CoachMikeElko for the invite. #GigEm @Coopercoogs1 @BCHsports @adamgorney @Coach_Hadnot @CoachARoan @Darkace08."
Texas A&M is coming off a disappointing 23-13 loss to Notre Dame, which dropped their season record to 1-1. In the aftermath of the loss, Aggies coach Mike Elko stated that the fanbase "deserves better." The program will be hoping to rebound here against McNeese.
McNeese itself has had a mixed start to the 2024 season. After a narrow 26-23 loss to Tarleton State on August 24, the Cowboys secured a 21-7 victory over the Southern Jaguars last Saturday.
This game will be the second-ever meeting between Texas A&M and McNeese, with the Aggies holding a 1-0 record against the Cowboys from the 2001 season opener. Historically, McNeese has struggled against FBS opponents, with their last win over a school in this tier coming in more than a decade ago in 2013 against South Florida.
