Four-star safety Blaine Bradford, from Catholic High in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2026 class. He has already received offers from Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, Texas, USC, Oklahoma, Penn State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, TCU and Mississippi State, among others.

The safety missed a couple of games during his sophomore season, but he remains a top talent in the class. ESPN, ON3, Rivals and 247Sports rank him as a Top 50 overall prospect in the nation.

#3. Notre Dame

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Notre Dame holds a 1.7% chance of landing Blaine Bradford, but the school is not to be underestimated. The Fighting Irish, led by special teams coordinator Marty Biagi, have been persistent in their recruitment efforts. Bradford’s visit to South Bend for the “Grill and Chill” event left a positive impression on him.

“It was a good, fun experience,” Bradford told Blue & Gold. “The highlights were talking to other people — the commits and the targets. I got to interact with them.”

During his visit, Blaine Bradford also spent quality time with head coach Marcus Freeman and defensive backs coach Mike Mickens. The prospect's family was also full of praise for the program.

“Notre Dame has strong academics, great football traditions, and world class coaches,” Bradford’s father, Stacey, told On3. “They have developed many players at the safety position. Coach Biagi and Freeman have done a tremendous job in the recruitment process thus far.”

Notre Dame has quarterback Noah Grubbs and wide receiver Dylan Faison committed to the 2026 class.

#2. Alabama

Alabama, with a 2.4% chance of securing Blaine Bradford’s commitment, is another top contender. The Crimson Tide recently hosted Bradford for a visit and extended an offer, which has placed them high on his list of potential destinations.

“They stand high in my recruitment right now, probably top five easy,” Bradford said ( via Touchdown Alabama). “I love the coaches over there. I love the environment. I love the players.”

Alabama has four-star cornerback Dorian Barney committed to the 2026 class.

#1. LSU

According to On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU stands as the overwhelming favorite with an 88.5% chance of securing Blaine Bradford’s commitment. Being the hometown team, the program has a huge advantage in this recruitment battle.

“I am super interested in them,” Bradford said (via On3). “They are the hometown team. They have a program that is built up. That 2025 class coming in is great too and LSU has real potential. I have been there so many times and they are so consistent. The staff wants what is best for their players and their legacy is strong.”

The Tigers have defensive lineman Richard Anderson, offensive lineman Jalan Chapman and safety Jakai Anderson committed to the 2026 class. The class ranks No. 9 in the nation and No. 5 in the SEC.
