Top 5 landing spots for 4-star recruit Eric Reibe as he nears his commitment date ft. Kansas Jayhawks

Four-star center Eric Reibe, one of the most sought-after big men from the class of 2025, will be announcing the school he will commit to on Oct. 16. He is now down to five schools: Oregon, Kansas, Creighton, UConn and Indiana.

Reibe is one of the highest-ranked centers in his class. He is the No. 33 overall prospect, the No. 3 center and the No. 1 player in Maryland per On3. With his 7-foot frame, the Bullis (Maryland) High School star is a force inside the paint.

The Top 5 schools Eric Reibe might choose

5. Creighton

Creighton initially started strong but has since fallen off. They are still in contention though, with Reibe going on record in August that he is still considering the school. However, he likely won't be a starter yet should he choose the Bluejays as Greg McDermott wants him to be Ryan Kalkbrenner's replacement once he leaves.

4. Oregon

Reibe has said that he could fit in well with the Ducks as he may get more playing time with them. He may also get more chances to showcase his shooting skills as Oregon coach Dana Altman told him he could play as a stretch four.

3) Indiana

Indiana hosted Eric Reibe on Sept. 21 and Hoosiers coach Mike Woodson and his staff also flew to Maryland to visit him. They have a good history with centers and Reibe previously said that he has been told that Woodson sees him getting starter minutes.

2) UConn

UConn is the favorite to get Reibe's commitment, with On3 giving the Huskies the best chance to land him at 80.1%. The school is known for developing great centers, including the 2024 NBA draft's seventh overall pick Donovan Clingan.

However, Reibe might have some competition at the center spot should he choose the Huskies, but he could also play alongside Tarris Reed.

1) Kansas

Rivals recruiting director Rob Cassidy has the Kansas Jayhawks as the favorites to land Reibe. The school sees Reibe as a possible replacement for Hunter Dickinson, who is leaving after the upcoming season. He and Dickinson have similar playstyles, which means he could fit well with the Jayhawks' system.

Eric Reibe previously had scheduled visits to Kentucky and North Carolina but had to cancel them after his trip to Kansas. It had many analysts thinking that the Jayhawks made a strong impression on him.
