WATCH: 5-star prospect Jason Crowe Jr. drops 43 points and hits the game-winner to lead Inglewood to close victory over St. Bernard

Point guard Jason Crowe Jr. was in his bag as Inglewood continued its good run with a 95-93 win over St. Bernard on Tuesday. One of the top prospects in the high school basketball Class of 2006, Crowe went 17 for 33 as he dropped 43 points, with seven assists and five rebounds.

Crowe, 6-foot-4, is a consensus five-star recruit and plays under the tutelage of his father, Jason Crowe Sr.

Danaus Cockrell also chipped in 12 points, five assists and five steals as the Inglewood. Sentinels (5-1) won their fourth consecutive game.

Up next for Inglewood and Crowe is a clash against Bakersfield on Saturday.

Jason Crowe Jr’s rising potential

Jason Crowe Jr., ranked eighth in the Class of 2026 by ESPN, is averaging 31.7 points per game for the Sentinels this season. Crowe also leads the team in assists, averaging 6.7 per game, and also averages 3.7 rebounds per game.

The point guard has even got the attention of former Boston Celtics and Kansas Jayhawks great Paul Pierce, who also attended Inglewood (California) in high school.

Pierce returned to his alma mater recently to watch Crowe drop 27 points in his first game of the season.

Last season, Crowe averaged 37.4 ppg, 5.8 apg, 4.5 rpg and 3.9 steals per game. The youngster scored 2,000 points as a sophomore, after having broken California’s freshman scoring record by scoring 1,295 in 36 games.

The point guard also outshined the Class of 2025's No. 1-ranked prospect AJ Dybantsa when they met on Oct. 5. Although Dybantsa recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists to help Utah Prep triumph 92-82, Crowe grabbed the headlines with 36 points and eight assists.
