WATCH: 5-star recruit Aaliyah Chavez shares a wholesome clip from her visit to UCLA Bruins

The No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025, Aaliyah Chavez, is one of the most sought-after recruits in women's basketball. She officially visited UCLA this week, touring its facilities and campus, as well as meeting with the coaches, players and officials. She then shared a wholesome clip of her time there in California.

“I’ve never been to California, so I want to take a visit there for sure. I like the way they play," Chavez told On3's Talia Goodman in an interview. "They’re not slowed down. They’re recruiting me very well.”

Aaliyah Chavez added she liked the way the Bruins play and was looking forward to her official visit there.

The five-star point guard from Lubbock, Texas, is down to her final six schools, which include UCLA, Texas, LSU, South Carolina, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

The point guard is preparing for her senior year at Monterey High School in Texas. On3 and 247Sports both rank her as the top overall player in the country.

Aaliyah Chavez made official visit to Oklahoma University two weeks before UCLA visit

Before her official visit to UCLA, top point guard Aaliyah Chavez visited Oklahoma University, with the Sooners rolling out the red carpet for her.

She praised Sooners head coach Jennie Baranczyk, saying the team does not force anything and just goes out there to play basketball. She also lauded the team for its high-energy plays and added she does not want a less energetic coach.

While Oklahoma and UCLA have the best odds of landing Chavez, according to On3, many feel she will stick with Texas colleges, with Texas and her local school, Texas Tech, being the two genuine frontrunners for her commitment. However, she has not set a timetable for when she will pick on a school.

Earlier this summer, Aaliyah Chavez participated in the Nike EYBL circuit and put up an impressive performance, averaging 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
