WATCH: 5-star recruit Dakorien Moore's training snippet shows why he's the No. 1 WR of the 2025 class
Dakorien Moore, the dynamic 5-star wide receiver from Duncanville, Texas, continues to prove why he’s regarded as the top talent in the 2025 class. Moore committed to the University of Oregon on July 4, 2024, and now his training clips have further amplified the excitement around him.
The videos showcase his elite athleticism, speed and commitment to refining his craft.
At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Moore’s explosive abilities make him a standout, not just as the No. 1 wide receiver in his class but also as the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2025 ESPN 300 rankings.
His decision to join Oregon gives head coach Dan Lanning a major recruiting victory, as Moore becomes the Ducks’ highest-rated prospect since Kayvon Thibodeaux in 2019. He also represents Oregon’s 11th ESPN 300 commit for the 2025 class.
Moore’s high school career at Duncanville has been nothing short of stellar. A two-time Texas 6A Division I state champion, Moore initially committed to LSU in August 2023 before de-committing in May 2024.
His breakout sophomore season saw him record 44 receptions for 764 yards and six touchdowns. This is followed by an even more prolific junior campaign with 1,532 yards on 71 catches and 18 touchdowns. Moore’s speed, also evident on track, helped Duncanville win the state title in the 4x200 relay this year.
Joining Oregon, Dakorien Moore headlines a strong offensive class that includes four-star WR Dallas Wilson, QB Akili Smith Jr., RB Jordon Davison and ATH Dierre Hill. On defense, Lanning has also secured top talents such as ATH Dorian Brew, ATH Brandon Finney and OLB Nasir Wyatt.
Dakorien Moore sets a new standard as Oregon’s highest-rated recruit
Dakorien Moore has surpassed Oregon’s previous top recruits, including Kayvon Thibodeaux (2019), Justin Flowe (2020) and Haloti Ngata (2002). He thus became the highest-rated commit in the program’s history. Oregon's 2025 class leads the nation in 'rating per commit' at 94.53.
Dakorien Moore, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 186 pounds, ranks as the No. 4 prospect overall, according to On3. His impressive skillset has drawn high praise from scouts, with On3’s Cody Bellaire stating:
"Moore is a threat behind the line of scrimmage, at the sticks, in the red zone and deep downfield. He is truly one of the most gifted playmakers in the last few recruiting cycles at the receiver position. He is truly rare.”
Bellaire further highlighted his exceptional field awareness:
"His ability to naturally track the football downfield accentuates his capacity as a vertical threat while his ability to shift gears and mix up the pacing of his routes keeps corners on their toes and allows for him to separate effortlessly at all levels of the field."
His remarkable 2023 season kicked off with a standout performance against reigning 5A Division II state champion South Oak Cliff. There, he recorded 281 yards on 7 receptions and scored 3 touchdowns.
