Northwestern signee Jake West delivered an electrifying performance at the Evan Chris Memorial Classic on Sunday, scoring an impressive 28 points to lead the Penn Charter Quakers to a 77-39 victory over Hun High School. West's display was captured in a MadeHoops Instagram post, which featured video highlights of the player.
In the video, the 6-foot-1 point guard powered through the defense and sank buckets emphatically. The video also showcased the player combining strategically with teammates and making 3-pointers with ease.
Jake West dropped four 3-pointers to score 20 points in the first half.
Sage Mateo, a 6-foot-2 guard for Hun, scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half. He finished with five 3-pointers, with four coming before halftime.
The matchup came under unexpected circumstances. Originally, Highland High was slated to compete but withdrew due to weather concerns. Hun High stepped in as a last-minute replacement.
