WATCH: Ohio State commit Na'eem Offord shares snippets of his team's blowout victory on homecoming night
Na'eem Offord, a five-star cornerback from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama, helped his team destroy the Jackson-Olin Mustangs 56-0 on Friday. The 6-foot-1.25 athlete was captured celebrating the blowout win on Homecoming night.
MaxPreps shared a video on Instagram showcasing the talented cornerback's celebration after the game. He was seen dancing with his teammates and doing backflips on the field. The Parker Thundering Herd set off some fireworks to celebrate the huge win.
"Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord had fun during Parker (AL) 56-0 win on Homecoming night," read the caption.
Offord recorded one tackle and one pass deflection against the Mustangs on Friday. He has accumulated 17 solo tackles and two interceptions through six games of the season so far.
Offord is one of the best overall prospects from the class of 2025. He received offers from top CFB programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Miami and Tennessee. However, the Alabama native chose the Ohio State Buckeyes over these programs and announced his commitment to them on February 4, 2024.
The five-star athlete is ranked No. 9 in the country and is the third-best player at his position, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Alabama.
Auburn is still in play for Na'eem Offord despite his commitment to Ohio State
Na'eem Offord announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes in February. However, the Auburn Tigers have shown interest in acquiring the talented cornerback and are still in play to sign him.
The five-star athlete was in Auburn earlier this season to watch Hugh Freeze's team in action and have been in touch with him throughout his recruitment process. Offord has also reciprocated that love by wearing an Auburn wristband and towel during Parker's game against Hoover on Sept. 27.
Offord has taken three visits to Auburn in the past three months and spoke about them after his latest visit.
"(Auburn) is still recruiting me," Offord said, as per Auburn Live. "Even as I’m committed, they still recruit me. They have been recruiting me since my sophomore year."
The Buckeyes' class of 2025 is the best in the country, as per 247Sports' 2025 overall football team rankings. Auburn, on the other hand, ranks third on that list. Ohio State has landed 26 commitments so far, whereas Auburn has acquired 27 talented athletes from the class.
