Cameron and Cayden Boozer: Elite 2025 recruits eye top colleges
Cayden and Cameron Boozer, two of the most anticipated recruits in the class of 2025, are hoping to follow in the footsteps of their father, Carlos Boozer. Carlos is a two-time NBA All-Star and former Duke Blue Devil who won a national championship in 2001.
Both brothers are highly ranked, with Cameron listed as the No. 2 overall player and Cayden Boozer ranked 18th, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings. Duke, their father’s alma mater, is one of several schools pursuing the talented duo.
As they approach their senior year, Duke, Florida, and Miami have emerged as the leading contenders in their recruitment. The brothers visited each of these schools officially last year and recently returned for unofficial visits as they near a decision.
On3's Jamie Shaw described Cayden Boozer as a "strong-framed and aggressive point guard."
"At 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3, is a tough on-the-ball defender. He has quick feet at the point of attack and a strong IQ, understanding angles, and footwork. There is a toughness about Boozer. He is a good passer, plays well out of the pick-and-roll. His head is up, and has a great pace."
Last season, Cayden averaged 15.2 points, 5.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.
On the other hand, Cameron was the 2022-23 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year.
